One time my mates and i were having a grand ole time on a magic mushrooms trip Had spotify playing on shuffle Healthy dose of all sorts of music Ten years gone comes on And my mate and i start laughing and gushing over the song and how good it is Was a nice moment, i was crying with laughter, he was deadpan in his voicr and face saying "Nah pack it in, this is the best sound ever, fuck off every other band" One of those "ya had to be there moments"😂 But that moment on the album version when it goes into the final crescendo chorus and the guitar harmonies come in immediately Is for me one of the best pieces of music ive ever heard I hope to be old one day and remember and think back on times like these Im 27 and it always feels like im coming to the end of my life but i guess thats social media and doom scrolling for ya 😂 But this music brings me back down to earth and reminds me to love my family snd friends

Discovered Switchfoot through Campus Crusade for Christ meetings in Madison Wisconsin in 2007. They would often sing Dare You to Move during the services. So this band's early music still has a special place in my heart today.
